Art Update - Merfolk Token painitng

Popping in to show you guys the Merfolk painting - Deepwater Corsair. This is oil on canvas, 16x20. I was super excited to work with this palette. I hope you guys like it too!

Here she is in the card frame.

 Pirate is up next and should be done by the end of the month. Then Elemental, then the last one for the set Angel. Then it all goes to print! I can't wait either.

Attending GP MINN or GENCON? please read

If any of you are attending GP MINN or GENCON and are getting a playmat or a Set 1 Revised Deck let me know and I will have them there for you! I may even have some of the Metal Tokens as well. I wouldn't count on it but if you're there you might just get at least the Exclusive Thopter if they are shipped in time.

I was hoping everything would be ready before GenCon but that just wasn't in the cards. (ha! I'm so funny.)

 At this time, like right after I hit send I'll be painting, I'm working on the Merfolk painting. I usually post updates on Facebook and/or Twitter. Feel free to follow me. I have the Pirate drawing transferred to the canvas. I have some magic sketches to get done and some fun superhero fae folk to do this week but I expect July to produce at least 2-3 pieces. The last one I know will be the angel piece. Sadly the model I normally use is no longer available to hire. And I'm looking for another model.

I'm so darn close to wrapping this up for you all. Thank you for your everlasting patience. 

Art Update - Beast Token painting

I wrapped up the Beast Token over the holiday. Four paintings left to work on. I'll be getting one transferred to canvas this week.

The 8 foot mats came through the studio before getting shipped right back out. Man those were cool to see.

 While these went out the rest of the playmats came in. Boxes are being shipped for the six foot mats. I'll get those out when I can.

The regular mats were still planned to be shipped with the tokens to save on shipping. If you prefer yours sooner let me know and I can certainly ship sooner if you're willing to cover the additional postage. Should be about $5.

Four paintings to go. I've been super thankful for this opportunity!

Art Update - Beast Token Progress

 Last week at the Fantasy Art Workshop Illustration Intensive the demo I decided to do was to get started on the good ol' Beast Token. I went with one of my favorite limited palettes of red and green supplemented with ochre, black, and white. Very moody for this piece for sure. Plus it should totally work with red, green, or red/green decks. ;)

I'm currently working on a new Magic painting this week and should wrap this one up right after. Then some really fun super hero faeries! ha!

I'll have four paintings left. And man, am I looking forward to them. They are going to be very special so might take a bit more time to get them all done but will be totally worth it! 

Coming up in July is GP Minneapolis then GenCon right after. Hope to see some of you there. If you are going let me know if you're getting a playmat. I should have them and can hand deliver.

Art Update - Bird Token Painting

We're moving ever closer to the completed set. Today I am happy to share with you the art for the new Bird Token. 

The huge statues in the background are from the Museum of Science and Industry here in Chicago. They are from the World's Fair and I've been wanting to use them in a painting for a long time now. 

I'm also working on canvas for this larger painting. It's about 18" x 26". the canvas is unstretched. That means I can store it pretty easy or ship it rolled if someone bought it.
